The Fred Nordstrom Cup semi-finals will be contested by the first and second placed teams from each pool. The first placed team from Pool A will play the second placed team from Pool B, and vice versa. The first leg of the semi-finals will be played at the first placed team's home venue, dependant on venue availability.
The League Cup semi-finals will be contested by the third and fourth placed teams from each pool. The third placed team from Pool A will play the fourth placed team from Pool B and vice versa. The first leg of the semi-finals will be played at the third placed team's home venue. In the event of the third placed team's home venue being used for a Fred Nordstrom Cup semi-final match, the Fred Nordstrom Cup match will take precedence and the affected semi-final will be reversed with the fourth placed team playing the first leg at home.
The Plate will be contested by the fifth, sixth and seventh placed teams in each pool. These teams will play 2 matches — one each, home and away — against two teams from the other pool. The results will be tracked in a separate league table and the top two teams, after both rounds have been played, will contest the final.
Positions will be determined in the same manner as the other league and cup tables, with any ties after both rounds split by head-to-head results (from cup matches only), each team's finishing position in the pool tables, and — if necessary — their finishing position in the main league table.
e.g. The fifth placed team from each pool will play the sixth and seventh placed teams from the other pool, the sixth placed team will play the fifth and seventh placed teams, and the seventh placed team will play the fifth and sixth placed teams.
The venues and dates for these matches will be decided around fixtures in the Fred Nordstrom Cup and League Cup semi-finals, venue availability, and finishing position.
Cup pools were drawn at random on 3rd August 2017 by Geoff Cayley (Staines Ex) & Jim Rafferty (White Lion).
Table positions are determined by the number of points per team; then by the number of matches won, matches drawn, matches played, frames won. At the end of the season, any teams still level on all of these metrics will be split by their head-to-head score, and if still drawn, their positions from the current league table at the end of the season.
